The Council Protocol at Pressman Academy

Pressman Academy in Los Angeles, California, is the only Jewish day school to use the Council protocol as part of its regular curriculum. Council is a structured conversation that enables students to develop the skills of speaking reflectively and succinctly while learning to articulate their own narratives and become adept listeners to their peers personal stories. Pressman introduces Council in the Elementary School as Ma’agal Ha’hakshavah. The program continues in its full form in the Middle School as a weekly class on human development and social skills called Kesher. The program was featured in the LA Times: http://articles.latimes.com/2010/nov/27/local/la-me-schools-council-20101127
